This year the anniversary "Tour of World Class Almaty 2018" cycling race gathers about 1000 participants. One of the most anticipated cycling events starts at 8.00 a.m. from the children's distance. The start and finish will be in front of the "Mega Alma-Ata" shopping and entertainment center on Rozybakiyev street.
In connection with the cycling race the city's roads will be partially closed on the day of the competition - on August 18 from 5.30 a.m. to 13.00 a.m. The traffic in the places of the marathon distances will be limited.
- "This year we are holding the fifth Cycling race. The anniversary competition is attended by participants not only from the regions of our country, but also from other countries. For us, as for the organizers, the safety of the participants is very important. We have made the routes for cyclists and the movement in the city as comfortable and safe as possible for both participants and residents of the city. The tracks will open as the athletes progress. Traffic will be closed on the following streets:
Traffic along Rozybakiyev Street from Levitan Street to Al-Farabi Street will be closed from 5.30 a.m. till the end of the event. All lanes will be blocked.
Traffic along Al-Farabi Street from Rozybakiyev Street to Nazarbayev Street will be closed from 06:00 to 10:30. All lanes will be blocked.
Traffic along Sain Street from Rozybakiyev Street to Ryskulov Avenue (at the intersection area from Zhandosov, Shalyapin, Abai, Tole bi, Raiymbek batyr streets) will be closed from 06:00 to 11:30. All lanes will be blocked.
Traffic along Ryskulov Avenue from Sain Street before turning to Momyshuly Street will be closed from 08:30 to 12:00. All lanes will be blocked.
Traffic along Akyn Sara Street to Ak Kainar Street will be closed from 08:30 to 12:00. All lanes will be blocked.
Traffic along Ak Kainar Street past AutoTcon and further to the Burundai Police checkpoint (U-Turn place in the opposite direction) will be closed from 08:30 to 12:00. All lanes will be blocked.
Traffic will be completely resumed after the last participant covers the distance until 12.00.
The data are included taking into account the appropriate allocation of time of movement of participants of the race.
