Turkistan Marathon is a grand running event held in the ethnic style for all sports fans. Turkistan is situated in South Kazakhstan. It is one of the most ancient cities in the world: the city was founded more than 1,500 years ago. The running event takes place in the picturesque locations of the ancient city.
The marathon track is unique: gentle slopes with the highest elevation point of just about 70 m. This makes the event suitable not only for beginner and intermediate runners but also for experienced athletes aspiring to end the sports season successfully and improve their performance. The marathon is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). Its tracks are certified in compliance with the World Athletics standards.
Distances: 42.2 km, 21.1 km, 10 km, 10-km Nordic Walking, 3 km (10-14 years old).
