The Astana Half Marathon track represents a real journey across the most beautiful places of Kazakh capital. The competition will start on the square in front of the EXPO International Exhibition Centre and will continue on the central streets of the city, in particular along Baiterek, Khan Shatyr, Independence Palace, Botanical Garden.
“Running is not just a sport; it is a real culture that unites people from all over the world. We are happy to see a huge number of runners in Astana not only from all over Kazakhstan, but also from near and far abroad countries. New records are set here, on the track, and we write the history,” says Director and Organiser Saltanat Kazybayeva. “This year our team intends to hold the competition at an even higher level. We plan to organise a global sports fair with more than 6,000 participants, featuring a live broadcast on YouTube and a lot of new emotions. We invite everyone to join the big running event in the capital.”
The Astana Half Marathon is an ideal opportunity for runners to break their personal bests. The flat track in Astana will facilitate runners in their best results and will help them reach new heights in their sporting careers.
The fastest male and female runners in the absolute 21-km category will be awarded the following cash prizes: 1st place: 450,000 KZT, 2nd place: 400,000 KZT, 3rd place: 350,000 KZT. Winners in age categories for the 21-km and 10-km distances will receive gifts from partners. Overall winners in the team relay will also be awarded cash prizes: 1st place: 200,000 KZT, 2nd place: 150,000 KZT, 3rd place: 100,000 KZT.
