Almaty Marathon announces opening of registration for the traditional seasonal run – the Spring Race. It will take place on March 17 on Al-Farabi Avenue.
All race lovers have to pass on-line registration at www.almaty-marathon.kz and pay the entry fee.
For the participants of races for 14 km the fee amounts 3000 tenge;
For the participants of races for 3 km the fee is 500 tenge.
The main distance is 14 km (15-34, 35-49, 50+) and children distance of 3 km for the participants from 10 to 14 years old . The maximum number of participants is 1 000 persons.
The participants not having start numbers shall not be allowed to participation.
The total prize fund is 200 000 tenge. It will be distributed among the participants showing the first 3 bests results in the absolute terms among males and females. At the finish all participants will get the race medals, and the winners (from the 1 to 3rd place) will be awarded with the prize medals, certificates and presents from the partners.
From January 20 till April 14 every Saturday Almaty Marathon provides open training sessions for all wishing in the Park of the First President from 10 to 11 o’clock in the morning, free admission. The training sessions are held by the experienced trainer of the cyclic sports school Nikita Fedotovskikh according to the specially developed plan, comprising general development and special racing exercises for development of speed and endurance for any distance.
The spring race will be the second seasonal race in this year in the cycle of preparation for the international charity Almaty Marathon to be held on April 22 for the seventh time. Registration for the marathon will be open until April 10.
