On Saturday, March 17, Al-Farabi Avenue will be closed in Almaty for the time of the Second Spring Run holding within the frameworks of Almaty Marathon. Cars movement will be limited from the northern part of the avenue from Kozybayev street up to Mustafin street.
The traffic will be partly blocked from 6.30 to 12.00 hours, the motor transport driving in the places of marathon distances will be temporarily impossible.
"This year, about 1000 participants were registered for the Second Spring Run. This is the final training for the annual sports event of Almaty Marathon.
In connection with the Spring Run holding, Al-Farabi Avenue will be partly blocked. We, being the organizers of the event, ask citizens and the city guests to take this into consideration while planning their day,"- warned the director of Almaty Marathon Saltanat Kazybayeva.
It is noted that movement will be fully restored after expiration of the estimated time of the competition - at 12.00 o’clock.
