According to Saltanat Kazybayeva, Director of the Almaty Marathon, “It was our third Summer Race; and the public interest in it is constantly growing. This year a number of runners, who toed the starting line, was 100 people more than last year. The grove is not so big, that is why we limited a number of participants for the competition. We have just held the summer race and already started preparation for the autumn race, which takes place in November.”
All participants received a traditional finishing medal and the winners were awarded with prize medals, certificates and presents from the partners of the Almaty Marathon:
- the proud prize partner Oriflame, which supports all sports events of the Almaty Marathon.
- Tayga8, which provided their unique products,
- Happylon, which provided presents for the participants of the children’s race,
- EZ, which provided exclusive T-shirts for the absolute winners,
- World Class Almaty Fitness Club, which provided its assistance in arranging the third Summer Race in a row.
In addition to the winners in different age groups, the winners in the final standing were identified – they competed for the prize money of 180,000 Tenge of the Summer Race.
